The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is scheduled to hold a board meeting today, which will take place under the new Ministry of Youth and Sports. It is anticipated that BCB President Nazmul Hasan Papon’s resignation letter will be presented during the meeting.
Earlier, BCB cricket operations chairman Jalal Yunus submitted his resignation letter as board director of the National Sports Council (NSC).
Former Bangladesh captain and chief selector Faruque Ahmed is likely to be nominated by the NSC to replace Jalal on the board of directors, which would make him eligible to get elected as the new president after Papon’s resigns.
