Palestine’s Ambassador to Bangladesh, Yousef SY Ramadan, expressed deep gratitude to the people and government of Bangladesh for their ongoing support to his country, particularly in light of the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

“There is no food, no medicine. Children are the main victims,” the ambassador said during a meeting with Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus at the State House Jamuna on Sunday, according to the CA office.

Ambassador Ramadan praised Bangladesh for joining other Muslim-majority countries in condemning the Israeli government’s ‘Greater Israel’ map announcement. He also acknowledged the efforts of Bangladeshi citizens who have contributed funds for food and medical supplies, noting that Palestinians are aware of this support.

He requested that Bangladesh authorities explore opportunities to import more Palestinian products into the country, and voiced his support for the interim government, wishing it success in its mandate.

Chief Adviser Yunus reaffirmed Bangladesh’s solidarity with Palestine, stating: “Our people stand with you. The government will continue its support.” He also expressed hope that more countries would formally recognise Palestine in the near future and emphasised the ultimate goal of achieving a viable two-state solution.
