Pakistan Day celebrated with commitment of renewed cooperation

In a vibrant display of culture and diplomacy, the High Commission for Pakistan in Bangladesh hosted a grand reception in Dhaka to mark Pakistan Day.

The event, held at a city hotel on Sunday, brought together dignitaries, diplomats, political figures, business leaders, academics, media professionals, and distinguished members of the Pakistani diaspora in Bangladesh.

The ceremony was graced by the presence of Education Adviser to the Interim Government Chowdhury Rafiqul Abrar , who attended its as the Chief Guest.

The event began with the recitation from Holy Quran, followed by national anthems of both countries.

On this occasion a book was unveiled named “From Summit to the Sea” containing breathtaking landscapes of Pakistan.

The evening unfolded with an immersive cultural experience, as guests were presented with visual glimpses of Pakistan’s breathtaking landscapes, historical landmarks, and artistic heritage.

Addressing the gathering, Pakistan’s High Commissioner Syed Ahmed Maroof welcomed the guests and expressed deep appreciation for their presence.

He highlighted the potential for greater collaboration between Pakistan and Bangladesh, particularly in areas such as trade, investment, education, cultural exchange, and interpersonal connections.

He noted that mutual understanding and cooperation could pave the way for a more prosperous future for both nations.

“Bilateral trade has revived. Together we can take our bilateral relations to new heights,” he said.

Chowdhury Rafiqul Abrar, in his remarks, congratulated Pakistan on its National Day.

He also emphasided the importance of building on historical ties and strengthening bilateral relations through increased dialogue and engagement.

“We share common history. We have common challenges as well. Bangladesh values the relation with Pakistan. We have recently renewed bilateral relations meant for benefitting for both countries,” he said.

“We are committed to enhance bilateral relations. We are expecting high level visits between two countries,” he stressed.

The reception not only celebrated a key moment in Pakistan’s history but also reflected a spirit of goodwill and shared aspirations between the two neighboring countries.

The event reaffirmed the growing momentum in Pakistan-Bangladesh relations and the desire on both sides to deepen mutual understanding and regional harmony.
