Sports Reporter :
Pakistan Cricket team will not tour Bangladesh this year. President of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Shahriar Khan disclosed this matter on Thursday.
Pakistan team was scheduled to play three ODI matches, two Test matches and one Twenty20 International match against their counterpart Bangladesh in that tour.
Shahriar Khan said to an international website, ” We visited Bangladesh for two consecutive times. Now we cannot tour Bangladesh for third time in a row. So, we cancelled the tour. If we can manage an opportunity next year we shall visit Bangladesh.”
Pakistan team visited Bangladesh in the year of 2011-2012 and then visited Bangladesh 2015. PCB got US $ 3,25,000 from BCB for the visit of 2015.
Bangladesh visited Pakistan last time in the year of 2007-2008. Bangladesh played five-match ODI series against Pakistan in that tour.
PCB invited Bangladesh team to play a Twenty20 International series in Pakistan this year. But Bangladesh team refused to tour Pakistan due to security concern.
Meanwhile, Chairman of Media Committee of BCB Jalal Younus said, ” When Pakistan team visited Bangladesh in the year of 2015, in that time it was fixed that Pakistan team will tour Bangladesh for the second consecutive times. But now PCB cancelled that tour. It is surprising.”
