Osmania bridge inaugurated

Chattagram City Corporation (CCC) Mayor Dr. Shahadat Hossain inaugurated the Char Rangamatia and Osmania PC Girder Bridges, constructed to accelerate the activities of Kalurghat, an important economic and industrial area of the city.

A total of 6.5 crore taka has been spent on the construction of the bridge and connecting roads.

While inaugurating the bridge in Mohra Ward No. 5 on Monday the Mayor said, “This Osmania Girder Bridge is one of the biggest achievements of my one-year development activities as Mayor of CCC.

Currently, development work worth about 100 crore taka is underway in this area. I would also like to share some good news for the people of Chattagram.

The initiative to build 50 major roads in Chattagram city will start soon. In addition, we have made significant progress in launching the monorail.

The internationally renowned Arab Construction Company will carry out this work using German technology. Furthermore, the city’s communication system is being upgraded through a project worth 2,500 crore taka.”

Present at the event were Chattagram Metropolitan BNP Convener Mohammad Ershad Ullah, CCC Chief Engineer Anisur Rahman, former councillor of Mohra Ward No. 5 Mohammad Azam, and Chattagram Divisional Workers’ Party Vice-President Idris Mia.
