Dhaka University Teachers Association (DUTA) has given farewell to 29 retired teachers of the university at Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban on Sunday . Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman attended the program as chief guest and handed over crest among the retired teachers. Presided over by DUTA President Prof. Dr A S M Maksud Kamal the function was addressed by Pro-VC (Admin) Prof. Dr. Muhammad Samad, Treasurer Prof Dr. Md. Kamal Uddin, former DU VC Prof Dr A K Azad Chowdhury and Prof Dr S M A Faiz. DUTA General Secretary Prof Shibli Rubayat-Ul- Islam conducted the function. Deans of different faculty, provosts of different hall and chairmen of different department were present on this occassion. VC Prof Dr Md. Akhtaruzzaman said, Dhaka University will always remember the contribution of the retired teachers to education and research with gratitude. He hoped that their involvement with the university would continue in future. He wishes them good health and longevity.

Daffodil International Academy (DIA) organised ‘Student-Alumni Congress-2019 at Bijoy Milonayoton of Daffodil International Academy on Saturday . Mustafa Jabbar, Minister, Posts and Telecommunications Division, Ministry of Posts, Telecommunication and IT inaugurated the daylong programme as Chief Guest. Mr. Mohammad Nuruzzaman, CEO of Daffodil Family has given welcome speech on the program. Beside this Professor Dr. Fokhrey Hossain, Advisor of Daffodil International Academy, Mr. Sarwar Hossain Mollah, Academic Director of Daffodil International Academy were also present in the programme. Alumni students from Asia, Europe, America, Australia and Africa and lot of current student of DIA were attended this programme. Prof Zaviar Bonet, Deputy VC of University of Greenwich, UK send a video message for the program. The daylong program was divided into three segment like inaugural part, memory recalling part of alumni, cultural program and closing ceremony. Mustafa Jabbar inaugurated the program with cutting a cake at morning.
