Bam Oikya Front
A rally organised by Bam Oikya Front was held in font of the Jatiya Press Club with a call to stop conspiracy to increase price of gas. In the programme held recently the speakers said that the negative impact would fall on the electricity sector if the price of gas is increased. They called upon the common people of the country to be united against this anti-people decision. The ordinary people of the country will be affected economically if the price of gas is increased, they added. Coordinator of the front Comrade Nasir Uddin Ahmed Nasu presided over the event. The function was addressed, among others, by Central leader of Bangladesher Samajtantrik Dal (Mahbub) Mahinuddin Chowdhury Liton and central leader of Ganamukti Union Shiblul Bari Raju.
ITC Alumni Association Bangladesh
A 17-member executive committee of ITC Alumni Association Bangladesh has been formed with Dr Md Billal Hossain and Mohammed Solaiman Haider as President and General Secretary respectively. The committee was formed in the annual general meeting of the association, an organization of former students of ITC, the Netherlands held recently at the Bhawal National Park in Gazipur. Other office-bearers include Vice-Presidents ATM Asaduzzaman and Dr. Md. Moqbul Hossain, Joint General Secretary Mohammad Ashraful Kamal, Treasurer Md. Mosharaf Hossain, Publication & Cultural Secretary Md. Rejaur Rahman, among others.
