The central command council of Bangladesh Muktijoddha Santan Sangsad has distributed blankets among cold-stricken poor and distressed people of Rangpur city to mitigate their sufferings.The organization central command council distributed the blankets in the first phase with assistance of social organisation ‘Proriprekhkhit’ at a function arranged recently at Babupara area in Rangpur. Vice-President of the central command council of the sangsad and senior journalist Shushanto Bhowmick distributed the blankets as the chief guest, reports BSS. Presided over by General Secretary of Rangpur district unit command of the organization Mizanur Rahman Mizan, its Rangpur city unit command general secretary Kamal Hossain and Joint Secretary Mohidul Islam attended the function. Addressing the occasion, Shushanto Bhowmick said more blankets would be distributed among cold-hit poor and distressed people in the subsequent phases to stand beside them and mitigate their sufferings from the biting cold.
