Bangabandhu Academy
A discussion organised by Bangabandhu Academy was held at Bir Uttam Khwaza Nizamuddin auditorium of Dhaka Reporters Unity in the city’s Segunbagicha recently protesting false remarks of BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia and her eldest son Tarique Rahman centring late Ziaur Rahman as the first President of Bangladesh.
Publicity and Publication Affairs Secretary of the ruling Awami League Dr Hasan Mahmud was present as the chief guest. While speaking Hasan said being isolated from the people BNP has now been approaching foreigners for talks with the government.
Adviser of Bangabandhu Academy Chitta Ranjan Das presided over the discussion, also addressed, among others, by Secretary of Samyabadi Dal Dilip Barua, central leader Haroon Chowdhury, Dhaka City unit President of Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD-Inu) Meer Hossain Akhter, Assistant Secretaries of Awami League Asaduzzaman Durjoy and Rezaul Karim Reza. Secretary General of Bangabandhu Academy Humayun Kabir Mizi conducted the discussion. Dr Hasan Mahmud said, “When the whole nation was united on the spirit of the war of liberation by mass rendering of the national anthem on the Independence Day on March 26, the BNP-Jamaat combine again hatched conspiracies.
