Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Central Executive Council member and Secretary of the Publicity Department, as well as the Mymensingh-5 (Muktagachha) constituency MP candidate, Advocate Matiur Rahman Akand, said that if we want to change the fate of the people in the future, there is no way other than Islam.
“In the last 54 years, the Awami League ruled for 23.5 years, the BNP for 14 years, and the Jatiya Party for 9 years,” he said.
Matiur Rahman Akand stated, “This time, look at Jamaat. We want to show how the state should be governed if given the opportunity to come to power for 5 years.”
He made these remarks while speaking as the chief guest at a discussion and prayer meeting held in memory of Shaheed Chhamid, a martyr from Muktagachha who sacrificed his life during the August-July uprising, along with other martyrs, injured, and disabled individuals. The event was held last Friday afternoon at the Sreepur Puran Bazar School Ground in Mankon Union, Muktagachha Upazila.
