Online gambling leader nabbed from Barishal

An online gambling business leader named Ibrahim Khan Kamran was arrested on Sunday in Barishal on charges of buying and selling coins (points) to about 40/50 online gamblers through multiple agent accounts of the apps.
This gambling was operating through various apps and online sites including Bajigar, Fujimeta.com, Onexbet etc in Barishal. Deputy Commissioner of Barishal Metropolitan Police Ali Ashraf Bhuiya confirmed the matter in before the journalists at Barishal Kotwali police station on Sunday (19 May) afternoon.
Two lakh three seventy thousand taka were found in cash and Bikash account used by the arrested Ibrahim Khan Kamran. Kotwali Police Station Officer-in-charge ATM Arichul Haque and Inspector (Operation) Biplob Mistry conducted the operation.
BMP Deputy Commissioner Ali Ashraf Bhuya said, Ibrahim Khan Kamran is son of Abul Kalam Khan, a resident of Rasulpur in Ward No. 9 of city. Two Android mobiles were recovered from his custody.
During interrogation, the accused admitted that he was an online gambling dealer. In the interrogation of the accused Kamran also confessed that Sohail, Noor Islam and 25/30 unidentified people help him in buying and selling coins (points) along with online gambling business.
Legal action is pending in the incident till ending the interrogation, the police sources said.
