One farmer died and another injured due to lightning. The name of the deceased is Murad Mallik (50) whose father is Lakai Mallik of Merepara village in Kamaldia Union of the Upazila. The injured person is Mir Kamruzzaman (45) of Kapashhatyarb.
The injured Kamruzzaman has been admitted to Madukhali Upazila Health Complex. Former Chairman Habibul Bashar of Kamaldia Union confirmed the matter.
