Ohid Ahmed extends helping hand to the farmers of Eral Bill in Sylhet
Sylhet Bureau :
Eral Bill. A name that is known not only to Sylhet but also to people around the world who work on the environment, nature and biodiversity. There is a municipality and a village next to this sprawling bill. And the name of that village is Ghogarkul.
The government earns lakhs of taka in profit every year from this Eral Bill, which is located in Ward No. 6 of the Municipality of Golapganj Upazila of Sylhet district. Eral Bill is a name that is dear to the farmers and fishermen of this region. People did not hesitate to give their lives to protect this bill. The common people have fought a lot. That is why the bill still inspires hope among the people. BNP has once again proven that this bill, which is important to the administration, has not escaped the attention of politicians. A M Ohid Ahmed, the party chairperson’s Foreign Affairs Advisor, extended a helping hand to the farmers and garners praise. The leader held a farmers’ rally there and handed over fertilizer to 150 people.
At that time, he said, if BNP comes to power, the politics of development will start again in the country. The work of changing the fate of the rural people in the country will start again. BNP acting chairperson Tarique Rahman is working towards that goal. As a result, the country’s farmers, laborers, and hardworking people are waiting for his leadership. If he does not go to the villages, this demand of the people will not be understood. Hardworking people love Tarique Rahman like Shaheed Zia. The people of Golapganj Beanibazar will prove it by making the rice farmer win in the next election, InshaAllah.
He said these things at a farmers’ rally and free fertilizer distribution program organized in Ward No. 6 of Golapganj Municipality Sylhet on Friday (September 3).
Ward BNP President Syed Masuk Mahmud Milu and General Secretary General Secretary Abdul Aziz presented the programme. Upazila BNP Joint Secretary Nazrul Islam, Upazila Chhatra Dal former Senior Vice President Kamal Ahmed, prominent businessman Tofail Ahmed Khaled, former councilor Abdul Jalil Master, Upazila Jubo Dal member secretary Salauddin.
