Dr Hamid Asgor, a valiant freedom fighter (FF) and president of Khulna City Unit Bangabandhu Parishad passed away at Bangladesh Specialized Hospital at Shyamoli in the capital in the early hours on Thursday. He was 71.
Dr Asgor, also former President of Bangladesh Medical Association (BMA) of Khulna unit, left behind a son, a daughter and a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death.
He was suffering from cancer since long, family sources said.
He was buried beside his wife at Tutpara graveyard after namaj-e-janaza after Asr prayer.
