The Social Services Club of North South University (NSU) organized a charitable initiative to distribute Eid clothes among underprivileged and orphaned children. The event took place on Wednesday, March 26, at Noorani Islamiya Madrasa and Orphanage in Mirpur. Along with the distribution of Eid gifts, the club also arranged an iftar gathering for the children.

Under the humanitarian initiative titled “Iftar & Eid Clothing Distribution 2025,” NSU Social Services Club members shared an iftar meal with approximately 150 orphaned and underprivileged students. Each child received a set of new Eid clothes along with essential gift items.

Regarding the initiative, Maureen Islam, President of the NSU Social Services Club, stated, “Ramadan teaches us to support one another. We believe that the joy of Eid should be equal for everyone. Through this initiative, we are delighted to bring smiles to the faces of these children.”

Faculty Advisor of the club, Mezbaul Hasan Chowdhury, added, “The month of Ramadan is a special opportunity for self-purification and humanitarian service. Such noble initiatives by students undoubtedly contribute to positive social change.”

It is worth mentioning that the NSU Social Services Club has consistently worked to support underprivileged communities. Inspired by the values of Ramadan, the club has pledged to continue its humanitarian efforts in the future, ensuring that every individual in society can share in the festive joy of Eid.
