Zahirul Haq Rubel, a notorious criminal involved in the Rajshahi Anti-Discrimination Student Movement shooting, has been arrested.

Rubel, 41, opened fire on students and bystanders using two pistols during the incident, leading to public outrage.
The elite Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) apprehended Rubel from Daudkandi in Cumilla late on Friday night. He is the primary suspect in a case involving the murder of two students in Rajshahi, where he indiscriminately fired at them with his pistols.

Rubel, a resident of Chondipur in Rajshahi city, is the son of Abdur Razzak. He was known to be involved in the politics of the Juba League.

Dengue: 3 more die; 887 hospitalised in 24 hours

UNB : Three more deaths were reported from dengue in 24 hours till Thursday morning, raising the number of fatalities from the mosquito-borne disease in Bangladesh to 122 this year.
