A nor’wester swept across the capital on Wednesday night, killing at least one, injuring several others and causing a huge damage to the slum houses. Several trees in some parts of the city were also uprooted.
The people have to suffer a lot due to heavy rain accompanied by gusty wind, as it made difficult for them to reach their destinations. Several people were seen trapped at on the roads when most of the vehicles, particularly rickshaw, auto-rickshaw and bus, were vanished from the streets. Many city roads were waterlogged due to the rain.
The details were not available till the time of filing this report at 11:00pm yesterday.
