Religious Advisor Dr. AFM Khalid Hossain has warned that no one will be spared if they attack or attempt to destroy any shrine, mosque, madrasa, or orphanage in the country.
Khalid Hossain said that if a case is filed, law enforcement agencies will take immediate action and the attackers will be brought to justice.
Advosor made these remarks in response to questions from journalists after visiting in Kishoreganj ‘s Pagla Mosque on Sunday morning.
He also said that cases have already been filed in connection with the attacks in various places and some people have been arrested.
Calling on the authorities of every shrine and mosque to install CCTV cameras, he said it would make it easier to identify attackers.
However, social awareness is most important because it is not possible to deploy police at every shrine.
During his visit to the historic Pagla Mosque, Advisor said that the construction of a magnificent 10-storey building will begin soon. The Islamic complex, suitable for multi-purpose activities, will be built in a modern Turkish design and the foundation stone will be laid within the term of the interim government.
Religious Advidor further said that Pagla Mosque’s 90 crore 64 lakh taka is kept in 13 bank accounts as FDR, the profits of which are spent on the poor, helpless, orphans and the sick. About 80 lakh taka has already been distributed. He proposed that poor students will also be provided assistance from this fund.
Among others, Deputy Commissioner(DC) Fouzia Khan, ADC (General) Mijabe Rahmat, Al-Jamiatul Emdadia Madrasa Principle Moulana Shibbir Ahamed, and Additional SP Imranul Islam.
