Since August 21, Red Crescent rescue teams have rescued approximately three hundred people, including pregnant women, the elderly, the general public, and children. They have also conducted animal rescue operations. Those affected by the flood have received nearly 9,550 cooked meals and 12,395 bags of dry food.

To ensure access to clean water at the shelters, the Red Crescent, with support from Grameenphone, has installed water purification kits, providing over 16,400 liters of purified water and 500 jerrycans. Furthermore, the most affected areas will receive 9,000 liters of mineral water.

We have collected approximately 30,000 water purification kits from the District Health Office, and distributed nearly 25,000 of them across various upazilas, unions, and wards. We have established coordination with UNICEF to provide informational support, and we are also closely collaborating with the Bangladesh Army and Fire Service for additional support activities.

In response to the “Flood-24” situation, the Noakhali Youth Red Crescent coordinated efforts under the leadership of Youth Chief Farhana Haider, Deputy Youth Chief Nusrat Jahan Nishi, Mezbah Uddin Akbar, and the Youth Executive Committee. Alongside them, senior volunteers such as Golam Rabbani, Abdullah Al Rezwan Nabin, Muaz Bin Anwar, Ariful Islam, Chandra Nath Majumder, Sanuching Marma Bithi, Fahad Rahman Ajhor, Minhajul Hadi, Majidul Haque Nihan, Arafat Rahman Tamim, Marziat Rahman and many other senior volunteers also contributed significantly.
