Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police of Rajshahi Range Mohammad Shahjahan asked the people of Chapainawabganj not to give shelter to the terrorists.
If you do not give them shelter, they will get no space to survive, he added.
He was addressing a gathering as the chief guest organised by Bangladesh Police at Shahid Satu Complex yesterday afternoon.
It was held with the Superintendent of Police (SP) of Chapainawabganj Md. Rezaul Karim in the chair.
Among others, Ameer of Chapainawabganj district unit of Jamaat-e-Islami Md. Abu Jar Gifari, Nayeb-e-Ameer of the same and former law maker Md. Latifur Rahman, former Chairman of Chapainawabganj Sadar Upazila Parishad and Jamaat leader Md. Mokhleshur Rahman, former Sadar Upazila Chairman and BNP leader Md. Tosiqul Islam Tosi, former Vice Chairman BNP leader Md. Nazrul Islam, Senior Vice President of Chapainawabganj Chamber of Commerce and Industry Md. Khairul Islam and others spoke on the occasion.
Besides, Additional Superintendent of Police (Admin and Finance) Md. Abul Kalam Sahid, Additional Superintendent of Police (Crimes and Ops) A.N.M. Wasim Firoj, Additional Superintendent of Police of Sadar Circle Md. Yasir Arafat and OCs of five police stations of the district were present. The chief guest also assured of proper establishment of law and order with the assistance of people.
