“We call for elections soon not out of impatience, but because an elected government and parliament will empower us further and pave the way to resolving the crises we face,” he clarified.
Responding to questions about the achievements of the five-month-long mass uprising, he said, “The most significant outcome is that we can now speak freely and without fear. This, to me, is a major victory.”
He also recognized the role of the AB Party in the success of the mass movement, stating, “Democratic struggles against fascist regimes often face immense challenges, but our youth-led movement has triumphed, freeing us from oppressive forces.”
Fakhrul expressed hope for a brighter future, saying the nation is now envisioning a new Bangladesh as a conducive environment has been established.
“We must not let this momentum or dream falter. Amid provocations, it is crucial that we stay committed to restoring democracy,” he urged.
He further emphasized the need to eradicate inequality, pledging to work alongside Bangladesh’s youth to build a just and prosperous nation.
