‘No Helmet, No Fuel’ campaign kicks off in Barishal

Barishal Metropolitan Traffic Police has entered the field to implement the ‘No Helmet, No Fuel’ and carrying more than on motorcycle in Barishal. Also, public awareness leaflets and stickers have been pasted at petrol pumps. Pump authorities have been given strict instructions not to supply fuel to motorcyclists without helmets.
Runa Laila, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Traffic) of Barishal Metropolitan Police, inaugurated this campaign at Messrs. Dost Traders Filling Station and LPG Conversion Center in Sagordi area of Barishal city on Saturday.
Runa Laila , said BMP’s Traffic Police has started implementation of ‘No Helmet, No Fuel’ program to prevent motorcycle accidents on the roads. Fuel will not be given without a helmet and motorcyclists without helmets are fined.
Besides the motorcycle cannot carry more than two people including the driver and our campaign will continue, the ADC of BMP added.
BMP traffic police TI Rahim, TI Pallab, Sergeant Zakir, police member Sohail and other police officers were also present at the time.
