No cattle mkt in Aftabnagar Says court

The Appellate Division of the Supreme Court has upheld the High Court order to suspend the lease notification for setting up a cattle market in the capital’s Aftabnagar on the occasion of holy Eid-ul-Azha.

A four-judge Appellate Division bench, led by Chief Justice Obaidul Hasan, passed the order on Monday.

Advocate Shah Manjurul Haque and Advocate SM Shamim Hossain moved on behalf of the writ petitioner.

Earlier on May 8, a High Court bench of Justice Naima Haider and Justice Kazi Zinat Haque suspended the lease notification for setting up makeshift cattle market at Aftabnagar area.
