The National Legal Aid Services Organization (NLASO) has provided legal assistance to 12,83,997 people across the country from 2009 to August this year through government expenditure.
According to a report published on the website of the organization, it has also rendered legal assistance for the insolvent and poor people against 4,38,474 cases during the period, reports BSS.
Besides, the Supreme Court legal aid office so far provided legal services to 29,696 people from the government expenditure while the legal aid offices in 64 districts have given free legal services to 10,33,196 people.  Â
