Afran Nisho is returning to OTT with a web series after three years. He acted in the series ‘Aka’ directed by Vicky Zahed. Nisho’s partner in this is Masuma Rahman Nabila. The trailer of the series was released today, Monday, at a programme.
“The time was around 1998-99. Aka was killing all the criminals one by one. But suddenly I don’t know what happened, Aka suddenly disappeared.”
The 2-minute 14-second trailer starts with a female voice over. Then it is seen that a person named Abul Kalam Azad dreams of becoming a rock star. But he doesn’t get any help on the way to fulfilling his dream. Aka’s family also thinks that he has passed the age of dreaming. He has to be humiliated even by auditioning for a reality show.
Due to humiliation and neglect, Aka eventually became violent. After that, he started killing one after another. One day he disappeared. Why he became a murderer remains unknown to everyone. After many years,
murders started happening in the city again in the same style. So, did Abul Kalam Azad alias Aka return? The police started searching for him frantically.
At the trailer launch event, Afran Nisho said, “I always want to be with good work, good production. It can be in any medium. For me, the story is fact. And with Vicky as the director, there is no question. A great team. All these good things have been combined in the Aka series. The trailer was released today, the content will come after a few days. The audience will be requested to give feedback.”
The ‘Aka’ series also stars Imtiaz Barshan, Jayanta Chatterjee, Azizul Hakim, AK Azad Setu, Tajji Hasan, Shyamanti Soumi, etc. The series will be released on the OTT platform Hoichoy on September 4.
