The government has enforced the compulsory retirement of nine Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP)-ranked officials. This decision follows similar actions taken previously under the interim administration.
According to separate notifications issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs, the retirements were implemented in accordance with Section 45 of the Government Employment Act, 2018. The notifications, signed by Dr. Mohammad Abdul Momen, Senior Secretary of the Public Security Division, cited public interest as the reason for these actions. The retired officers will be entitled to benefits as per retirement regulations.
The officers subjected to compulsory retirement are:

CID Assistant Superintendent of Police Md. Selim Hossain
SAF Assistant Superintendent of Police Md. Enayet Hossain
RAB Assistant Superintendent of Police Md. Mizanur Rahman

RAB Assistant Superintendent of Police Md. Nasir Uddin Bhuiyan
RAB Assistant Superintendent of Police Md. Jamal Uddin
APBN Assistant Superintendent of Police Jobairul Haque
Industrial Police Assistant Superintendent of Police Md. Mosharraf Hossain
This move aligns with prior actions taken by the government to manage public sector roles, especially in the police force.
