Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (RAJUK) has conducted a demolition drive in Fatullah, Narayanganj, targeting seven under-construction buildings that violated the Building Construction Act. Unauthorized extensions were demolished, and electricity connections were disconnected, with meters seized. Additionally, one building owner was fined fifty thousand taka.
The operation, led by RAJUK Executive Magistrate Shanta Rahman, took place on Sunday (May 18) from noon to evening in the Isdair, Masdair, and Jamtala Mosque Road areas of Fatullah.
During the operation, several multi-storied and under-construction buildings without RAJUK-approved designs or those with design deviations were ordered to halt construction. Unauthorized extensions were demolished, electricity connections were severed, and meters were seized.
“We conducted operations on seven under-construction buildings across three areas yesterday. Several of these are multi-storied buildings.
