A devastating fire broke out at a tin-shed market in Rupganj, Narayanganj, reducing 19 shops to ashes.
Three firefighting units from Kanchpur Fire Service worked for nearly an hour to control the blaze. Fortunately, no casualties were reported.
The fire erupted on late Wednesday night at Green City Super Market in the Tarabo Bishwa Road area.
According to locals, the fire started around 2:15 AM from a scrap shop and rapidly spread to the nearby tin-shed Green City Super Market, engulfing it in flames.
The affected shop owners claim to have suffered significant financial losses.
Jahangir Alam, Station Officer of Kanchpur Fire Service, stated that three fire service units responded promptly and managed to bring the fire under control within an hour.
However, by then, 19 shops, including wooden furniture stores, motor parts shops, and clothing outlets, were completely destroyed. The cause of the fire is still unknown.
