Two workers lost their lives after suffering severe burns in an air conditioner (AC) compressor explosion in Narayanganj.
The incident occurred on Sunday at a private bank in the Megha Complex, Kanchpur, Sonargaon upazila.
The victims have been identified as Tuhin (25), son of Selim Bepari from Chandpur Sadar, and Rafi (22), a resident of Ramganj upazila in Lakshmipur.
Jahangir Alam, Senior Station Officer of Shimrail Fire Service, confirmed the incident.
He stated that Tuhin and Rafi were repairing the AC compressor at Eastern Bank in Kanchpur when it exploded, leaving them severely burned.
Emergency responders rushed them to Narayanganj Victoria General Hospital, where doctors declared them dead.
Mohammad Abdul Bari, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sonargaon Police Station, also confirmed the incident, stating that an investigation is underway.
