‘Next century will be century of Islam’

Staff Reporter, Mymensingh :

Advocate Matiur Rahman Akand, member of the central executive council of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, secretary of the publicity and media department, said, we need to think about those who served 30 years ago and the current context. Because Islam has emerged as a new force in this world. Only one person spoke loudly in the last century, his name is Sayyid Abul A’la Maududi (RA). Around 1941, he made a call targeting the youth. O youth, wake up. The current context of the world is declaring that the next century will be the century of Islam.
Today, we have to unite as one because the history of the world says that there is a change in every century. So in which direction will the change in this century be? We can see a clear sign of that and we have to understand it through logic.
The policy of the Islamic movement in Bangladesh should also be decided in the same way.
He said these things at a friendly and pleasant cultural program organized by the Shilpakala Academy in Mymensingh city on Friday (July 04) afternoon with the former brothers of the Islamic Chhatra Shibir living in Mymensingh metropolis and Sadar upazila.
