Chief guest Director General of Bangladesh Fire Service and Civil Defence Brigadier General Md Sazzad Hossain with the champions Headquarters Siddique Bazar team and the high officials of Fire Service and Civil Defence pose for a photo session at the Headquarters of Fire Service & Civil Defence in the city on Sunday. Headquarters Siddique Bazar team emerged the champions in the ‘Mujib Borsho’ Fire Service and Civil Defence Mini Football Tournament. The Tournament was held marking the birth centenary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

Mayor of the Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) Md Atiqul Islam inaugurating the Udayachal Park by releasing the balloons as the chief guest in the city’s Mohammadpur on Saturday. After the opening of the Park, a friendly cricket match was held there between DNCC team and Indian High Commission team on the same day. President of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) Nazmul Hassan Papon, MP, Md Sadek Khan, MP, of Dhaka-13 and Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Shri Vikram Kumar Doraiswami were present at the time as special guests. DNCC team defeated Indian High Commission team by 172 runs.

Bagerhat District Sports Officer arranged the Annual Sports Competition marking the birth centenary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. On the eve of the occasion, a football match was held at the Attaka Keramot Ali Pilot High School Ground in Fakirhat Upazila between Green team and Red team. Green team won the match by 5-4 goals in the tie-breaker. UNO of Fakirhat Upazila Md Tanvir Rahman distributed the prizes and certificates among the winners. General Secretary of Fakirahat Upazila Sports Association Syed Altaf Hossain was present at the time, among others.
