A third party on behalf of Somali pirates has contacted the ship’s owner KSRM Group after 9 days of taking the Bangladeshi flagged ship hostage. Various sources confirmed that the contact was made after noon on Wednesday (March 20). When asked, Mizanul Islam, Media Adviser of KSRM Group, the owner of the ship, told The New Nation that the pirates have started communication through a third party.
