Nazeem A. Choudhury, DMD of Prime Bank PLC and Imtiaz Ahmed Chowdhury, Sales Director of Syngenta Bangladesh Limited, exchange documents after signing an agreement at the bank head office in the capital recently. Under the deal, Prime Bank and Syngenta Bangladesh will work together to increase crop production by extending credit facility to farmers and agricultural input sellers. Senior officials from both organizations were present.

Md. Ahsan-uz Zaman, Managing Director and CEO of Midland Bank Limited, distributes loan to the farmers at Bajitpur in Kishorgonj at 4 percent interest rate under Bangladesh Bank Refinancing Scheme in agricultural sector to ensure food safety initiative of the country. Md. Javed Tareq Khan, Head of Institutional Banking Division, Md. Ahsan Jamil Hossain, Head of SME Banking Division, Abdul Barik, Head of Panchrukhi Branch of the bank, were also present.

International Islamic Trade Finance Corporation (ITFC), member of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group, has announced the extension of its Murabaha Trade Finance Facility to US$ 45 million for City Bank under a syndicated arrangement. The signing ceremony held at City Bank Head Office. Mashrur Arefin, MD & CEO of City Bank and Nazeem Noordali, COO of ITFC, Abdul Aleem – Division Manager Asia & Middle East, Iftekhar Alam, Regional Manager – South & Southeast Asia of ITFC, Sheikh Muhammad Maroof and Md. Mahbubur Rahman both ADMs were also present at the occasion.
