Under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Bank Asia provides free of cost seeds, fertilizers and pesticides among 300 local farmers of Munshiganj district recently in continuation of distributing free agricultural inputs across the country. Vice Chairman of the Bank Ms. Zakia Rouf Chowdhury was the Chief Guest at the premises of the Ofaz Faizun Memorial Model Primary School, Malkhanagar, Munshiganj. Director of the Board Md. Abul Quasem, Additional Managing Directors Shafiuzzaman and ANM Mahfuz, Deputy Managing Director S M Anisuzzaman of the Bank and Managing Director of Syngenta Bangladesh Limited Mohammad Hedayet Ullah were present.

The second special AGM of Bangladesh Submarine Cable Company Limited (BSCCL) was held through virtual platform on Thursday. Abu Hena Morshed Zaman, secretary of Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology and chairman of the company presided over the meeting while Directors of the company Md. Abdul Momin, Mohammad Golam Sarwar-e- Kaynat, Dr. Nasima Akhtar, Professor Dr. Md. Mostafa Akbar, Col. Ikram Ahmed Bhuiyan, and Independent Director, company’s Audit Committee chairman Md. Moniruzzaman FCA and many shareholders attended the programme. Under the development project of ‘Regional Submarine Telecommunications Project, Bangladesh’ (Installation and Establishment of Second Submarine Cable System (SMW-5) for International Telecommunications in Bangladesh), ordinary shares issued and memorandum of association of the company was approved.

Robiul Islam, Kabir Ahmed, Harunur Rashid, Mohammad Humayun Kabir, along with employees from all levels of the bank attend “Falgun Utsob” to welcome the season of spring at its head office on Wednesday. To celebrate this day, a spring-themed stage was set up at the premises of bank’s head office. A traditional Bengali “pitha Utsob” was also arranged to mark the celebration.
