Roundtable on “Advancing Nutrition Commitments for Chittagong Hill Tracts” held in CIRDAP Auditorium on Thursday. The programme was organised by Right to Food Bangladesh, a volunteer organisation. Mohsin Ali, General Secretary of Right to Food Bangladesh, and Executive Director of Wave Foundation, presided over the event. Barrister Debashis Roy, Chief of Chakma Circle and Aung Su Pru Chowdhury, Chairman of Rangamati hill district, were present among others.

National Bank Limited’s 62nd and 63rd sub-branches of Chattogram’s ‘Bibirhat’ and Sylhet’s ‘Baroigram’ were inaugurated on Wednesday. NBL Chottogram regional head and SVP, Prabir Kumar Bhowmick was present as the chief guest at the inauguration ceremony held by Bibirhat sub-branch. NBL Sylhet regional head and SVP Md. Jalal Uddin Pramanik was present as the chief guest at the opening ceremony of Baroigram sub-branch. In these two events, which were organized separately in Chattogram and Sylhet, the bank’s Hathazari and Beanibazar branch managers, Bibirhat and Baroigram sub-branch in-charges, branch officials along with renowned businesspersons and local dignitaries were present.

Zakir Hossain, Rowmari Upazila Nirbahi Officer Nahid Hasan Khan, Deputy Managing Director of the Bank Md. Abdullah Al-Mamun, Senior Executive Vice President Engr. Md. Habib Ullah, Kurigram Zila Council Member and President of thana Jubo League Md. Kadam Ali and Kartimari Bazar central Mosque president Md. Mostafizur Rahman spoke at the branch opening ceremony.
