IBBL organizes webinar on Shari`ah compliance: Barisal Zone of Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited organized a webinar on ‘Compliance of Shari`ah in Banking Sector’ on Saturday. Md. Shahabuddin, Vice Chairman of the bank addressed the program as chief guest. Md. Mahbub ul Alam, Managing Director and CEO of the bank addressed the program as special guest, said a press release. Professor Dr. Mohammad Abdus Samad, Member Secretary of IBBL Shari`ah Supervisory Committee addressed the webinar as chief discussant. Md. Aminur Rahman, Head of Barisal Zone presided over the program while Md. Shamsuddoha, Executive Vice President and Md. Zahirul Islam, Senior Vice President addressed the program. Head of branches, executives and officials under Barisal Zone attended the webinar.

Shafiul Azam, Managing Director of Modhumoti Bank Limited and Nemai Kumer Saha, Managing Director of Sandhani Life Insurance Company Limited, exchanging an agreement signing document at the bank’s head office in the city on Monday. Under the deal, customers of the Insurance company will be able to deposit insurance premium using the banks offline and online channels. In addition, bank customers can also avail life insurance policy of Sandhani. Senior officials from both the organizations were also present.
