IBBL organises webinar on Shari`ah compliance: Khulna Zone of Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited organised a webinar titled ‘Compliance of Shari`ah in Banking Sector’ on Saturday. Professor Md. Kamal Uddin, Director of the bank addressed the program as chief guest. Md. Mahbub ul Alam, Managing Director and CEO of the bank addressed the program as special guest, said a press release. Dr. Mohammad Monzur-E-Elahi, Member of IBBL Shari`ah Supervisory Committee addressed the webinar as chief discussant. Md. Abdus Salam, Head of Khulna Zone presided over the webinar while Md. Shwapno stands beside farmers’ of Lalmonirhat : Country’s largest retail chain shop ‘Shwapno’ (a concern of ACI Logistics Limited), stands beside the farmers of Lalmonirhat who are sufferings for radish prices. Local farmers of the district discarded a huge number of radishes as there is no demand in the market. In this situation, ‘Shwapno’ on Sunday bought 15000 of radishes at fair price. The outlet directly bought theses radishes from the farmer’s of Airport Harivanga area in Sadar upazilla of the district. “Shwapno always try to stand beside producer and farmers in any situation. We bought directly farmers products during covid situation. In its continuity, we stand beside the farmers of Lalmonirhat,” Sajjadul Haque, head of purchase of Shwapno said regarding this.
