LAFL opens relocated office: Lankan Alliance Finance Ltd (LAFL), a joint venture non-bank finance company with multinational collaboration, has recently inaugurated its principal branch in a new location. The company relocated the principal branch to Niharika Concord on Kamal Ataturk Avenue in Dhaka’s Banani. “With this branch, we are going to reach our target customers and offer app-based lending product under strategic alliance with a foreign partner,” Chairman of Lankan Alliance Finance Ltd Jowher Rizvi said at the opening ceremony that took place Tuesday. Chief Executive Officer Kanti Kumar Saha, Head of Business Shahanur Rashid and Chief Financial Officer Wishva Wickramarachchi were also present, the company said in a statement.

Prof. Dr. Md. Kismatul Ahsan, Chairman, Board of Directors of ICB, greeted Sheikh Mohammad Salim Ullah, Secretary of Department of Financial Institutions (FID) under Finance Ministry while he visited ICB head office in the capital on Thursday. Md. Abul Hossain, Managing Director of ICB, Dr. Nahid Hossain, Joint Secretary, Md. Golam Mostofa, Deputy Secretary and Shihab Uddin Ahmad, Senior Assistant Secretary of FID were also present.
