13th edition of business case competition BizMaestros launched : Unilever Bangladesh launched the 13th edition of BizMaestros, one of the most awaited business case competitions among the country’s top graduates. Over the years, the flagship initiative has provided a platform for the youth to experience the thrill of real business by creating solutions that can bring about real impact, Unilever said in a statement. The winners of BizMaestros will represent Bangladesh on an international stage at the Unilever Future Leaders’ League, and are also fast-tracked into Unilever’s management trainee programme. The first and second runner up teams receive the exclusive opportunity to pursue an internship with Unilever, the company said in the statement. The theme this year is ‘Bangladesh Rising With U’. BizMaestros, a business competition for final year university students, offers real business case studies of brands of Unilever. The first round takes place through online submission from students across Bangladesh.

Unilever Bangladesh Limited (UBL) and Unilever Consumer Care Limited (UCL) donated approximately Tk 8.07 crore of the company’s profit to the ‘Labour Welfare Foundation’ fund under the Ministry of Labour and Employment as its contribution to workers’ share of profit recently. UBL’s Director of Supply Chain Ruhul Quddus, Legal Director & Company Secretary SOM Rashed Quayum, and Director – Corporate Affairs, Partnerships & Communications Shamima Akhter along with UCL’s Regulatory Affairs Head & Company Secretary Mohammad Naharul Molla handed over two cheques to Begum Mannujan Sufian, State Minister and Md Ehsan-E-Elahi, Secretary of Ministry of Labour and Employment at the Bangladesh Secretariat in the capital.
