Business Performance Meeting of Al-Arafah Islami Bank Limited (AIBL) was held on Thursday, in the Bank. Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bank, Alhajj Salim Rahman was the Chief Guest. MD and CEO Farman R Chowdhury presided over the meeting. Among others AMD S M Jaffar, DMD Shabbir Ahmed, Md. Shafiqur Rahman, Syed Masodul Bari, Md. Mahmudur Rahman, Mohammed Nadim, Abed Ahmed Khan and Abdullah Al Mamun were present in the meeting.

Payoneer, the one of the largest online payment gateway service provider hosts the largest SMB and Freelancer Conference in Bangladesh at the International Convention City, Dhaka recently. The forum aims to empower Bangladeshi exporters and spur their growth to further expand into markets beyond borders. The Federal Republic of Germany will provide 33.50 million Euros grant for the project titled “Urban Climate Resilient Infrastructure Project (UCRIP) under Climate Change Adapted Urban Development (CCAUD) Program Phase- III”. Sharifa Khan, Secretary, Economic Relations Division (ERD), Ministry of Finance has signed the ‘Grant Agreements’ on behalf of the Government of Bangladesh and KfW Country Director, Michael Sumser signed the agreement on behalf of KfW Development Bank.

ICAB President Md Shahadat Hossain FCA met with the President of the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) Alan Johnson during the council meeting of IFAC held in Jio World Convention Center at Mumbai, India on 15 November 2022. They were flanked by ICAB Chief Operating Officer, Mahbub Ahmed Siddique FCA and President of South Asian Federation of Accountants (SAFA) H M Hennayake Bandara. ICAB President attended the meeting as Designated Voting Representative from ICA Bangladesh. Later, he had meetings with IFAC Deputy President Asmaa Resmouki.

Internationally famous cosmetics company Remark LLC, USA has started works of its regional office for the Asian zone in Dhaka. As part of the process on Monday a MoU was signed on formally inauguration of exporting in a ceremony at the Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel, Dhaka. Representative o Remark LLC, USA in Bangladesh Arefin Shahriar and Chairman of Srilankan Dermalife Pvt. Ltd., Ajanta Piasena. Director of Dermalife and SenRadita, senior officials of Remark LLC, USA Regional office, Asia were also present on the occasion among others.
