Bangladesh Bank (BB) Governor Abdur Rouf Talukder, unveils it Monetary Policy for the second half of the ongoing fiscal year at BB headquarters in the capital on Sunday. Deputy Governors Ahmed Jamal, Kazi Sayedur Rahman, Abu Farah Md. Nasser, AKM Sajedur Rahman Khan, BFIU Head Masud Biswas, Chief Economist Dr Habibur Rahman and Executive Director and Spokesperson of the central bank Mesbaul Haque, among others, were present.

Several commercial banks on Sunday donated money for the Ashrayan-2 Project, under the Prime Minister’s Office tasked with constructing homes for homeless. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina received the cheques from bank’s Managing Director through a function held at Prime Ministers Office. Banks are: 1. Al-Arafah Islami Bank Limited 2. Modhumoti Bank Limited 3. Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited 4. Mercantile Bank Limited 5. NRB Bank Limited 6. Premier Bank Limited 7. Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited 8. Southeast Bank Limited 9. Bank Asia Limited.
