Md. Shamsul Huda, Chairman of the Trustee of Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT) and founder Principle of Dhaka Commerce College (DCC), handed over the crest and gift to a student of the 31st Annual Sports & Cultural competition of the college held with a festive mood at its auditorium in city’s Mirpur area on Monday. Dr. Md. Abu Masud, Principle, Md, Wali Ullah, Vice-Principle of the college and local elite were present.

Different commercial banks signed an agreement with Bangladesh Bank of Tk 10 crore export supporting pre-financing fund. Bangladesh Bank formed this fund from its own with the aim of continuing the ongoing development and expansion of export-oriented industries and to accelerate the activities of export-oriented business. Managing Directors/ CEO’s of respective banks signed the deal with Bangladesh Bank’s Governor Abdur Rouf Talukder while its Deputy Governor Abu Farah Md. Nasser, and senior executives of various banks were present. Banks are : 1. Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited 2. NRBC Bank Limited 3. Mercantile Bank Limited 4. Dhaka Bank Limited.

3,000 blanket distributed by HEKS/EPER in Kurigram : With the financial support of HEKS/EPER and assisted by Mahideb Jubo Somaj Kallayan Somity (MJSKS) 3,000 blanket has been distributed among the poor at Ulipur upazila in Kurgram. The number of blanket are Gunaigach, Begumganj, Saheberalga as 300 in each union and 500 in Bazra union under Ulipur upazila, 450 in Jatrapur union under Kurigram district, 400 in Nunkhawa and 300 in Kachakata union under Nageshawri sub-district. 50 transgender have got the blanket under the supervision of UNO Kurigram Sadar and 400 poor people have got the blanket under the supervision of DC – Kurigram. UNO-Ulipur Shovon Rangsha (in picture), Agriculture extension Officer-Kurigram sadar Dipu Roy, Administrative officer-Nageshawri Habibur Rahman, respective UP chairmen, HEKS/EPER Representative Papan Kumar Sarker, Deputy Director of MJSKS Shyamal Chandra Sarker and other officials were present during distribution.
