The Commerce Ministry honored different businesses as Commercial Important Person (CIP) card for their outstanding contribution to respective sector. Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi handed over the crest and card to the awarded person through a function held at the Pan Pacific Sonargaon hotel in the capital on Sunday. Awardees are: 1. Dilip Kumar Agarwal, Managing Director of Diamond world, received the CIP award in trade category from the minister. 2. M Amanullah, Founder and Group Chairman of Aman Group of Companies and Chairman of Risk Management Committee and Sponsor Director of Mercantile Bank Limited, received CIP card for his outstanding contribution in export sector. 3. Md. Abdur Razzaq, Founder and Managing Director of JMI Group, received the CIP award for the third time for his contribution for export trade in 2021.

Shah Alam, Joint Secretary of Financial Institute Division of Finance Ministry, Dr. Daulatunnaher Khanam, Molla Abdul Wadud, Professor Dr. Mohammad Kaykobad, Dr. Abul Kalam Azad, Gopal Chandra Ghosh, Directors, Md. Afzal Karim, CEO & Managing Director and Tauhidul Islam, Company Secretary of the bank, were present.
