Akiz Uddin, DMD of Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC and Rana Dasgupta, CEO of Apollo Multispeciality Hospital, Kolkata, exchange document after signing a MoU at the bank’s head office in the capital on Tuesday. Under the deal, employees and their family members as well as cardholders of the bank will get special discount in treatment and on various medical tests. Mohammed Monirul Moula, Managing Director and CEO, Md. Altaf Hossain, AMD, Md. Maksudur Rahman, SEVP of the bank, were present.

Hassan O. Rashid, Managing Director and CEO of Prime Bank Limited and Nazeem Noordali, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of International Islamic Trade Finance Corporation (ITFC), a member of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group, exchange documents after signing a Syndicated Murabaha Financing Facility of $40 million financing agreement at the bank’s head office in the capital recently. The financing facility will support the growing trade business of the bank for SME and Corporate segments. Through this strategic partnership, ITFC will be supporting the key sectors of the economy by availing vital foreign currency to support the global trade of Bangladeshi importers and exporters. Senior representatives from both institutions, were present.

Professor Dr. Abul Hashem, Chairman of BASIC Bank Limited, preside over its 3rd Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) held at the bank’s head office in the capital on Tuesday. From now, BASIC Bank Limited will be known as BASIC Bank PLC as per the EGM decision. Dr. Nahid Hossain, Dr. Md. Abdul Khaleque Khan, Md. M. Latif Bhuiyan, Md. Rafiqul Islam, Directors, Md. Anisur Rahman, Managing Director & CEO and other senior officials of the bank were present.
