The Inter-district Women’s Chess competition began on Sunday at the Dhanmondi Woman’s Sports Complex in the city.
Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury, MP, organizing secretary of Bangladesh Awami League, formally inaugurated the meet as the chief guest.
A total of 25 players from nine districts across the country are participating in the two-day meet, organized by Bangladesh Woman’s Sports Association.
The closing ceremony of the competition will be held today (Monday). National Sports Council secretary Ashok Kumar Biswash will be present as the chief guest at the closing ceremony and distribute prizes among the winners.
