Amanullah Aman granted bail

UNB, Dhaka :The High Court on Monday granted six months’ ad interim bail to BNP joint secretary general Amanullah Aman in five separate cases of violence.An HC division bench comprising Justice M Borhanuddin and Justice KM Kamrul Kader passed the order after hearing the bail petitions submitted by Amanullah Aman’s lawyers. Advocate Joynul Abedin and Barrister Ragib Rauf Chowdhury represented him during the hearing.Talking to reporters, Barrister Ragib Chowdhury said now there is no legal bar to the BNP leader’s release from jail as earlierhe had secured bails in the other cases filed against him. The cases were filed with Keraniganj Police Station on different dates last year for vandalising and torching vehicles during the blockades enforced by the BNP-led 18-party alliance (now 19-party alliance).
