Banglalink rebrands MyBL as ‘Mukto’, open to all operators

Banglalink is set to transform its MyBL self-service app into “Mukto”, a digital platform that brings telecom products, connectivity and lifestyle services under one roof for users of any mobile operator.

The telco-agnostic digital platform, Mukto will allow users to access services through a universal login using social media accounts, local mobile numbers or international numbers from anywhere in the world, said a Banglalink press release.

The platform marks a shift in Banglalink’s digital strategy, from developing services primarily for its own subscribers to offering a wider range of digital experiences to users across mobile networks.

Mukto is an open and accessible platform that combines telecom services and options for everyday needs with entertainment offerings, including music, stories, Islamic advice, the latest news and sports.

An AI-powered personalisation feature will recommend products and services based on individual interests and preferences. The app will also allow users to manage their own mobile numbers as well as those of family members and loved ones.

Chief Marketing Officer of Banglalink Kazi Mahboob Hassan said the platform reflects the company’s focus on understanding customers’ needs beyond connectivity.

“Putting customers first means recognising that their needs extend far beyond connectivity. People do not organise their digital lives around telecom operators.

They want technology that fits naturally into their everyday routines and makes life simpler, more convenient and more personal.”
