2 nabbed with gold bars in Rajshahi

The Special Response Battalion (SRB)-5 arrested two people with two gold bars weighing 241 grams from the Dorikharbona area of Boalia Police Station in the city on Thursday.

The arrested are Moktar Molla, 45, son of late Ashraf Ali of Chuniyagari village in Naogaon Sadar Upazila, and Chakirul, 40, son of late Ershad Ali of Jolahar Bhajpur village in Godagari Upazila of Rajshahi.

In a press release issued on Friday, SRB-5 said based on secret information, a team of Rajshahi Sadar Company raided the area and arrested them with two gold bars weighing 241 grams, two mobile phones and three SIM cards.

A case has been lodged against the two arrested persons at Boalia Police Station.
