Standard Islami Bank launches Bangla QR campaign in Gulshan
Standard Islami Bank has launched a four-day Bangla QR and Cashless Digital Banking Campaign at Gulshan-1 DNCC Market in Dhaka to promote a modern and convenient digital banking ecosystem.
The campaign, which began on Monday, aims to provide merchants with a simple, secure and modern payment system and bring all eligible merchants under the Bangla QR platform, according to the press release.
Standard Islami Bank Additional Managing Director Md Siddiqur Rahman inaugurated the campaign as the chief guest.
Bangladesh Bank Executive Director and Principal of the Bangladesh Bank Training Academy Md Ubayed Ullah Chowdhury attended the event.
Standard Islami Bank Deputy Managing Director Md Jabedul Alam; Gulshan-1 DNCC Market Executive Committee President Anwar Hossain; and Standard Islami Bank Gulshan-1 Branch Head Salah Uddin were also present.
Heads of different branches and senior officials from the bank’s head office also attended the programme.
The bank said the initiative is intended to encourage greater use of digital payments among merchants and help expand cashless transactions.
By bringing eligible merchants under the Bangla QR platform, Standard Islami Bank aims to make digital transactions more accessible, secure and convenient while supporting the development of an integrated digital payment ecosystem.
