Sydney Sweeney responds to controversy over nude scenes in ad
Sydney Sweeney is synonymous with discussion.
Sometimes she is controversial for her nude scenes on screen, sometimes she faces criticism for acting in commercials. But there is no way to deny her popularity.
From ‘The Housemaid’ to ‘Euphoria’ – the young actress has seemingly increased her popularity by starring in two high-profile projects in the past year.
She recently appeared in front of camera almost completely naked in an advertisement for the new sports trading and prediction app ‘Novig’.
After the advertisement was released, criticism started on social media about her appearance.
Many also questioned the nature of the advertisement and the way Sweeney was presented.
The ad shows Sweeney with various sports equipment. Sometimes she covers important parts of her body with basketballs and footballs, and sometimes she uses hockey goalposts, football pads, a baseball catcher’s helmet, or a hockey goalie’s mask. “The campaign was about bringing a fun idea to the table.
The idea is simple. To remove all the noise and focus on the sport,” Sweeney said in a statement on Novig’s website.
Sweeney added that she was involved in the creative planning of the ad from the beginning.
